Todd News Oct2025

Toddington Village Magazine article, published 1st Oct 2025:

The Steering Group (SG) for the Toddington Neighbourhood Plan (NP) would like to thank everyone who attended our recent public engagement events. Your ideas, questions, and offers of help will help shape our next steps. Your support has been hugely encouraging.

Many of you indicated where your interests and expertise lie, and the SG is now populating the Working Groups (WGs) accordingly. The WGs are: Green Infrastructure, Housing, Transport and Infrastructure, Local Business and Economy, and Social, Education and Wellbeing.

The immediate task for the WGs will be to progress their activity streams, using the valuable comments collected at recent events. We are currently analysing all feedback to identify priorities and evidence gaps. This will guide the WGs as they research, consult, and develop proposals for the draft plan.

The Road Ahead – next steps

  1. Evidence Gathering – WGs will compile data, site assessments, and supporting information for each theme.
  2. Targeted Surveys – We will shortly launch bespoke surveys/activities on three vital topics:
    • Housing – Exploring the types, locations, and numbers of homes needed.
    • Green Infrastructure – Looking at how to protect, enhance, and link green spaces and natural features.
    • Business and employment focussed survey- to business owners, employers and landowners

These events will offer further opportunities for you to have your say
