Public Meeting – Saturday 6th June 2026

Public Meeting 6th June 2026

Progress Update

the past 15 months have seen the Steering Group engage consistently with the community. Public Meetings have been held and surveys have been conducted covering Housing, Green Infrastructure, Economy & Infrastructure and in conjunction with Parkfields Middle school, our younger residents. We have also contacted our community Clubs and Societies. Additionally, we have regularly published articles in the Village Magazine. All these activities and events had the aim of capturing as many comments and inputs as possible as well as trying to keep everyone informed about our work. Feedback and updates can be found on our website and Facebook page, or by contacting us.

What comes next?

The next phase of the Neighbourhood Plan is to develop draft Aims (written with the insights from the surveys and comments received) that cover the key points the Steering Group believe residents actually care about. These are being published on June 6th at the next Open Meeting (drop in sessions) from 10:00am to 3:00pm in the Toddington Village Hall. Everyone is invited – there are no age barriers and we want to hear your comments. We will be launching our Community Questionnaire on Saturday June 6th which will run until June 25th. These two things offer residents the opportunity to comment on our developing plan, and the Steering Group will take on board comments before refining the Aims and then develop Policies to support the Aims. Although largely electronic, the Questionnaire can also be obtained as a hard copy from the Library or by contacting us.

Please come along on Saturday June 6th – drop in any time between 10:00am and 3:00pm – Toddington Village Hall

As we progress there will be other opportunities to engage with the Steering Group, followed by a Statutory Consultation period, eventually leading to a Referendum where residents will be able to vote for or against the Neighbourhood Plan.

The Steering Group would like to thank everyone for their continued support.
