Central Bedfordshire Council has issued a consultation on sites submitted for development. There are many sites in and surrounding Toddington. If all approved this could double the size of Toddington and will significantly increase the development around the motoroway junction.
The Central Beds consultation is purely on-line, but Toddington Parish Council and the Toddington Neighbourhood Plan Steering Group are holding a joint meeting with parishioners to ensure the community expresses it views. There will be two presentations on Wednesday 29th July in the Wilkinson Hall, behind St George’s Church. One presentation starting at 5:30pm and a second (same presentation) at 7:00pm. Each presentation will be about 30mins, but then there will be questions and debate.
Over the last year that the Neighbourhood Steering Group has been seeking views, the most clear feedback from the community is to limit future development. It is not expected that all the submitted sites across Central Beds would be agreed, but we need to make our views known in this consultation.
It is important that as many parishioners are possible make their views directly to Central Bedfordshire via the Central Beds consultation by 17 August 2026.
